Information for those who might wish to audition and sing with us:
Typically, potential new members come to the first or second rehearsal of a series leading up to a concert and "try out" a rehearsal and meet the members. At the end of the rehearsal, the music director auditions the potential member for singing ability, voice placement, etc. Though the requirements are not too, too formal, we think good sight and music reading ability are pretty essential as the choir does not spend much time learning notes during rehearsals.
We rehearse on Saturday mornings at the Toronto United Mennonite Centre (TUMC) at 1447 Queen St E., one block east of Kingston Rd.
We encourage choir members to donate time and funds to help with choir operation in addition to "just" singing. You are expected to sell tickets to our concerts, of course. Choir Guidelines, given to you when you have been accepted as a member, describes a choir member's roles and responsibilities in much greater detail.
